Although the trend has being that women and girls wear gypsy costumes during the Halloween, nowadays men have also joined this fraternity. In fact more male gypsy costume designers have evolved. Also shopping for male gypsy costume is no longer strange but a welcomed generational change. Most stores have also opened up wings selling gypsy costumes for men. Furthermore, the American ex-president Bush has being caught in various occasions wearing the gypsy costumes not only during the Halloween celebrations but also to various other evening dances.
The gypsy costume for men comprises of the following a full point shirt which should always be baggy. The shirt is usually bright in color and either buttoned or tied at the collar. The difference between the ladies and male shirt is the fact that the male shirt lacks a lace which is a prominent feature in the lady’s shirt.
The shirt is also accompanied by a brightly colored vest whose color should not overshadow that of the shirt. The gypsy costume for men also comprises sweat pants which have elastic at the waist and ankles to give them a gypsy look. Men also attach a triangular piece of cloth at their collar and a sash around their waist. These two accessories are however optional.
Men also cover up their head using a bandanna, which should give a gypsy look rather than a civilized look. For the shoes, during the cold seasons men wear black tie-up boots and rope sandals during the warm seasons. Men can also add finger rings and a drawn goatee on their face as accessories.
Therefore, men should stop criticizing on the Halloween advertisements that focus on their costumes. They should instead follow suit and grab these costumes and accessories to accompany the costumes that their lovely ladies will be wearing on that day.
